The FDNY 343 Fireboat is a state-of-the-art vessel operated by the Fire Department of New York (FDNY), named in honor of the 343 firefighters who lost their lives during the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. Commissioned in 2010, this fireboat is not only a powerful firefighting tool but also a floating memorial to those heroes.

Built by Eastern Shipbuilding Group, the FDNY 343 is one of the most advanced fireboats in the world. At 140 feet long and capable of pumping 50,000 gallons of water per minute, it is a critical asset for maritime emergencies, waterfront fires, and rescue operations along New York City’s waterways.
